Welcome to boot camp, “drop down and give me 50!“
All kidding aside, this boot camp is your training center to train and practice hiragana recall ability.
It’s the same recall practice you’ve seen in every lesson but contains every hiragana character. It will test you on a random 25 characters at a time.
Here’s what I want you to do. Use this recall practice now — do it as many times as you can.
Once every character is super easy for you to answer, take a long break. Long enough that you feel like you’re on the verge of forgetting the characters.
When Are You Done?
At first, this break may be a day or two — then a week, a month. Over time this space will grow until you can come back a few months later and still ace these characters.
That’s when you know you’re “done.” And you can always come back to strengthen your memory any time you want.
Time to practice! This recall covers all the characters all together – 25 random characters at a time.
Good job! Continue practicing until you can confidently identify each character with ease. Click the buttons below to restart the practice (challenge yourself with inverted and challenge mode).
Once this practice feels easy to you it’s time to take longer and longer breaks. Once you can take huge breaks (month or more) and this is still easy, you’re done.
